Welcome to Henwick Primary School; we hope you enjoy looking around our website and find it informative.

Our vision is to provide the best possible education for all our children in an environment where they feel safe, valued and confident.  We strive to accommodate all learners and learning styles and to develop our pupil’s understanding of themselves as learners.

We achieve high standards and have high expectations for learning, achievement and behaviour for each pupil.

Our children follow an engaging and lively curriculum providing them with the core skills needed in life; reading, writing and numeracy.  It also enables children to learn independently, learn from their experiences and develop imaginative and enquiring minds.  At Henwick, we live by the traditional British Values of democracy, the rule of law and individual liberty and also by the school values which you can read more about here.

Everybody is made welcome at Henwick and we are incredibly proud of our diverse heritage and individual differences.  We expect the whole school community including visitors to enhance the feeling of safety and security in our school; we believe in working in close partnership with parents and we have strong links with our local community.

Families are able to access a range of clubs and adult learning opportunities as well as early help and support in our school.  We work hard to promote a healthy lifestyle, healthy minds and a positive regard for the world around us, as we believe these are key to a well-rounded education and good development.

If you want to get a real feel for our school, we very much encourage you to make an appointment to come and see us in action; appointments can be made via the school office.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
